Walk by the Spirit

Posted in Uncategorized on October 26, 2010 by marythepoet

No poetry lately…God is showing me things that are more important right now. Like how crucial it is to walk by the Spirit. It is the only way to make it in these final days. People may tell you this is radical or extreme, but the sting of death is sin (1 Cor.15:56). They don’t know what they are talking about because they are self-righteous and serve something other than the one TRUE God. The idols on this earth are inumerable. Be careful who you keep around you….

The Temple of the Living God

2 Corinthians 6:14-18 & 7:1

Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers.

For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness?

Or what fellowship has light with darkness? What accord has

Christ with Belial? Or what portion does a  believer share with an

unbeliever? What agreement has the temple of God with idols?

For we are the temple of the living God; as God said,

“I will make my dwelling among them

and walk among them,

and I will be their God,

and they shall be my people.

Therefore go out from their midst,

and be seperate from them, says the Lord,

and touch no unclean thing;

then I will welcome you,

and I will be a father to you,

and you shall be sons and daughters to me,

says the Lord Almighty.”

Since we have these promises, beloved,

let us cleanse ourselves from EVERY defilement

of body and spirit, bringing holiness to completion in

the fear of God.

Walk by the Spirit

Read Galations 5 in its entirety

Galations 5:16-26

But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. For the desires of the flesh are against the Spirit, and the desires of the Spirit are against the flesh, for these are opposed to each other, to keep you from doing the things you want to do. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immortality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, envy, drunkeness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. And those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live by the Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit. Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another.

Habakkuk’s Prayer

In an uncertain society, let’s hold fast to the things that really matter…the LOVE and PROMISE that will still be here when all else fades away…The Almighty King, The Lord of Lords….If we keep our eyes on Him and we walk in the spirit nothing in this world can shake us. Let us be filled with rightousness worthy of our King so when we meet with Him we can rejoice in some wonderful feeling that we have never even felt before! PEOPLE! HE IS FIGHTING FOR US!!!

Matthew 5:6

Ephesians 6:10

1 Corinthians 2:9

Habakkuk’s Prayer

O Lord, I have heard the report of you,

and your work, O Lord, do I fear.

In the midst of the years revive it;

in the midst of the years make it known;

in wrath rememer mercy.

God came from Teman,

and the Holy One from Mount Paran.

His splendor covered the heavens,

and the earth was full of his praise.       Selah

His brightness was like the light;

rays flashed from his hand;

and there he veiled his power.

Before him went pestilence,

and plague followed at his heels.

He stood and measured the earth;

he looked and shook the nations;

then the eternal mountains were scattered;

the everlasting hills sank low.

I saw the tents of Cushan in affliction;

the curtains of the land of Midian did tremble.

Was your wrath against the rivers, O Lord?

Was your anger against the rivers,

or your indignation against the sea,

when you rode on your horses,

on your chariot of salvation?

You stripped the sheath from your bow,

calling for many arrows.     Selah

You split the earth with rivers.

The mountains saw you and writhed;

the raging waters spent on;

the deep gave forth its voice;

it lifted its hands on high.

The sun and moon stood still in their place

at the light of your arrows as they sped,

at the flash of your glittering spear.

You marched through the earth in fury;

you threshed the nations in anger.

You went out for the salvation of your people,

for the salvation of the anointed.

laying bare from thigh to neck.

You pierced with his own arrows the

heads of his warriors,

who came like a whirlwind to scatter me,

rejoicing as if to devour the poor in secret.

You trampled the sea with your horses,

the surging of mighty waters.

I hear, and my body trembles;

my lips quiver at the sound;

rottenness enters in to my bones;

my legs tremble beneath me.

Though the fig tree should not blossom,

nor fruit be on the vines,

the produce of the olive fail

and the fields no food,

the flock be cut off from the fold

and there be no heard in the stalls,

God, the Lord, is my strength;

he makes my feet like the deer’s;

he makes me tread on my high places.

People get ready…Jesus is coming and he is coming soon.

The most beautiful and meaningful words…

Posted in Uncategorized on October 19, 2010 by marythepoet

….in the entire universe come straight from the Bible.

Psalm 148

Praise the Lord!

Praise the Lord from the heavens;

Praise Him in the heights!

Praise Him, all His angels;

Praise Him, all His hosts!

Praise Him, sun and moon;

Praise Him, all you stars of light!

Praise Him, you heavens of heavens,

And you waters above the heavens!

Let them praise the name of the Lord,

For He commanded and they were created.

He also established them forever and ever;

He made a decree which shall not pass away.

Praise the Lord from the earth,

You great sea creatures and all the depths;

Fire and hail, snow and clouds;

Stormy wind, fulfilling His word;

Mountains and all hills;

Fruitful trees and all cedars;

Beast and all cattle;

Creeping things and flying fowl;

Kings of the earth and all peoples;

Princes and all judges of the earth;

Both young men and maidens;

Old men and children.

Let them praise the name of the Lord,

His glory is above the earth and heaven.

And he has exhalted the horn of His people,

The praise of all His saints-

Of the children of Isreal,

A people near to Him.

Praise the Lord!

[Since I don’t have a poem for every day, I will start doing daily Bible scriptures…His words are above all…It is because of HIS WORDS that I have MINE!]
